What supplies should I bring with my child?
Please bring a blanket and a fitted crib sheet, backpack with diapers, wipes, ointment, 2 changes of clothes (you can leave things in your cubby). If your child is bringing lunch, pack a lunchbox with lunch. If you choose to order from our caterer, lunch will be delievered to their classroom at lunchtime. We will be supplying a morning and an afternoon snack. Please make sure to label your child's personal items so they always make it back home.
How do I order hot lunch?
Your lunch can be ordered through your Family Portal in FACTS. If you'd like to buy daily milk for the year, you can get a milk form in the main office and we will bill your account.
What do I do if my child needs medication?
Please fill out the medication form found under our forms and bring the medication with you to school to leave in our nurse's area. Please keep it in original packaging and label it with a ziplock with your child's name.
https://www.stcharlesb.org/forms The form for medication is called the Medication Authorization Form
Does my child need to be potty trained?
No! Each child at this age range is at a different point developmentally. Potty Training Plans will be worked individually with the teacher and each family.
Will there be a uniform requirement for this age?
No. At this age, we expect to play and mess and have fun, so no uniforms until our 3 year old program. Please make sure to wear closed toed shoes and when it is cold, send a coat as we will play outside!
What about naps?
There will be dedicated time for naps with cots for each child. We will have at least 2 different guaranteed nap times depending on the time of day and if your child is a half or all day student.
How many students and teachers will be in the classroom?
Currently, the plan is 14 full time students as we await licensure. We will have 3 teachers on staff for this program.
Where do I drop off and pick up?
This program is in our convent behind our main building. For toddlers, we will ask that you pull into the West Parking lot and park along the West rock wall to drop off parallel with the garden. We have many small children in the parking lot and the 2 year old families are the only cars allowed in for drop off in the West Parking lot.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Mrs. O'Reilly or Mrs. Turner. We are glad to answer any questions!
